I found a fine
midi
(author unknown) with a four-part harmonisation of the melody for trumpet, alto, trombone and baritone sax, and I thought it would be interesting to take that same arrangement and try to transcribe it chord-by-chord (the same 4 notes) to PSG. In a couple of places, its not possible (so I dropped the bass note and was left with a 3-note chord) and in a couple of others it sounds better just to play a grace note instead of a full chord. The final result has some grips I would never have come up with, but its all playable.
The top string (G) is only used once, and thats just a grace note so you can play this even if you have D on top, just by skipping that note.
In one place, I use a Universal lever (string 8 semitone raise - shown as 'F' in the tab), but - again - this is just for a grace note and you can skip this if you don't have that pull.
There is one half-pedal on 7, shown as "7*" in the tab.
The
backing track
is just the aforementioned midi with all but the bass and drums removed.
